Mark Hayes
Chief Instructor - Lincoln BJJ & CFA
With over 40 years of martial arts experience and a lifelong passion for teaching, Mark founded Lincoln BJJ in 2010 to create a welcoming place where ordinary people can learn authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, making Lincoln BJJ the first legitimate BJJ club in Lincoln. His coaching style focuses on clear instruction, steady progress and helping every student build confidence, regardless of age, fitness or experience.
He also holds instructor certifications under Guro Dan Inosanto, Sifu Richard Bustillo, Sifu Rick Faye and a 2nd Dan Black belt under GM Cacoy Canete.

After earning his black belt in Wado-Ryu Karate and spending years in Kickboxing, Dave discovered Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and was hooked from his very first class. Nearly eight years later, he's become an important part of the Lincoln BJJ coaching team, known for his patient approach, attention to detail and genuine passion for helping others improve, whether they're stepping onto the mats for the first time or working towards their next belt.

Fundamentals Coach & Assistant Instructor
With no previous martial arts experience before joining Lincoln BJJ, Matt understands exactly what it's like to walk through the doors for the very first time. More than nine years later, he's a Purple Belt and Assistant Instructor who enjoys helping new students gain confidence, learn solid fundamentals and realise that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is something anyone can enjoy, regardless of age, fitness or experience.

Assistant Instructor & Student Mentor
Wayne discovered Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu after years of wanting to try martial arts but putting it off while life and family took priority. Since joining Lincoln BJJ in 2015, he's developed into a valued Assistant Instructor who enjoys helping others discover that it's never too late to start. Friendly, approachable and always willing to help, Wayne is passionate about creating the same welcoming environment that first inspired him to step onto the mats..
