1. Who We Are
Lincoln BJJ operates from Strike-Zone Martial Arts Centre, 45-48 Croft St, Lincoln, LN2 5AZ. These terms apply to all classes, memberships, introductory offers and starter packs offered by Lincoln BJJ.
2. Our Offers
£9.99 Beginner Intro
Five coached sessions across one week: Monday BJJ Fundamentals, Tuesday Combined Fighting Arts and BJJ, Thursday Combined Fighting Arts and BJJ. The pass is valid for that week only. Intakes start every Monday and are limited to four new starters per week.
£129 Starter pack
Includes a Blue Gi and White Belt, unlimited classes for your first month, and annual club membership. Total value £174. If you purchase a Starter Pack before the end of your £9.99 intro week, the price is reduced to £109.
Monthly memberships
Three plans are available: Foundation (£50/month, up to 2 sessions per week), Progress (£70/month, up to 3 sessions per week) and Performance (£90/month, unlimited sessions). All plans include access to both BJJ and CFA classes.
3. Payment Terms
Memberships booked online are recurring and billed on the same date each month. Payment can also be made by cash or bank transfer. You can cancel your membership at any time - there is no minimum term and no cancellation fee. Your membership will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
4. Annual Membership Fee
A one-off £10 annual membership fee is payable at your first session as a paying member, by cash or bank transfer. This covers your yearly club registration and provides member-to-member insurance cover while training at Lincoln BJJ. This cover applies only during sessions held at the club.
5. Refund Policy
If you have completed your £9.99 intro week or Starter Pack month and genuinely feel you haven't learned anything or improved, please contact us and we will consider a refund on a case-by-case basis. We ask that you raise any concerns with us directly before requesting a refund, so we have the opportunity to help. Refunds are not offered simply for a change of mind after booking, but we will always try to find a fair resolution.
6. Assumption of Risk
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Combined Fighting Arts are physical contact sports. Participation carries an inherent risk of injury. By training at Lincoln BJJ, you acknowledge and accept this risk and agree to train within your own limits and capabilities. Lincoln BJJ takes all reasonable steps to ensure a safe training environment, including structured warm-ups, qualified coaching and a progressive approach to learning. However, Lincoln BJJ, its instructors and Strike-Zone Martial Arts Centre cannot be held liable for injury, loss or damage sustained during training, except where caused by our own negligence.
7. Health and Fitness
By participating in classes at Lincoln BJJ, you confirm that you are in good health and physically capable of taking part in martial arts training, or that you have sought appropriate medical advice before doing so. If you have any existing injuries, medical conditions or health concerns, please inform your instructor before training.
8. Photography and Video
Training sessions at Lincoln BJJ may be photographed or filmed for use on our website and social media channels including Facebook and Instagram. By training with us, you consent to being included in this content. If you would prefer not to appear in photographs or videos, please let Mark or a member of the team know before your first session and we will respect your wishes at all times.
9. Code of Conduct
All members are expected to train with respect for their fellow students, instructors and the gym environment. Our full code of conduct is displayed at Strike-Zone Martial Arts Centre. The following will not be tolerated: aggressive or disrespectful behaviour toward other members or instructors, training under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or conduct that brings the club into disrepute. Lincoln BJJ reserves the right to refuse or withdraw membership from anyone who repeatedly breaches the code of conduct, without refund.
10. Change to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will notify active members by email and update the date at the top of this page. Continued participation in classes following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
